RCE Health Insurance Information

GeoBlue is RCE’s health insurance provider. Their member website offers a tremendous amount of information on our plan, providers and other information. It can be accessed at (HERE).

An introductory document on the plan, benefits & how to find care internationally can be found below:

Geo Blue RCE International Member Guide

You can submit all claims in your GeoBlue site for care that is received outside of the US. Generally, your US and/or Canadian providers will submit all documents & bill GeoBlue directly, so you shouldn’t have to file a claim for US care.

When submitting non-US claims, be sure to include all invoices & receipts for care and medicine received. These documents do not need to be translated as GeoBlue has translation services available.

To make changes to those covered on your plan, including the birth of a child, you must make the change within 30 days of when the change or addition occurred (ie – within 30 days of birth). Please send the full name of the individual you would like to add to your policy, their date of birth, relationship to you & Social Security number (if you have it) to JJ Howard & she will provide that information to Geo-Blue.

The policy which includes all benefits, coverage and exclusions can be accessed below:

A Ge0Blue mobile app is available for your mobile phone and information on it can be found (HERE).

IMPORTANT – Pre-certifiying Procedures

There are several procedures & expenses that should be pre-certified with Geo-Blue to ensure that the procedure & expense is covered under the policy. Following is a summary list of procedures that require pre-certification:

IMPORTANT – Coverage Differences for Care in the US

Your GeoBlue medical insurance is fully in force for care, doctors visits & prescriptions while you are in the US. In fact, items covered are exactly the same wherever you are in the world. However, the cost of care is different while you are in the US & you need to keep this in consideration when seeking US care. The policy has a deductible of $2500 per person for care received in the US.  (Note that the deductible is not applied for certain wellness care & prescriptions. See policy summary for details.)

Please contact us if you have any questions about this.
